Home Fellowships
Home Fellowships are a great place to connect with the Body of Christ in a warm atmosphere where deep relationships and true accountability can take place. Every believer needs to be grounded in solid fellowship and this is the place to do it! How do you make a big church small? Find fellowship and spiritual growth at Calvary’s Home Fellowships which meet in homes in Ridgecrest and Inyokern.
There are many verses in the Bible that encourage us to form close relationships and Acts 2:42 best illustrates this: “They (Christians) continued steadfastly in the apostles teaching, and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.” Verses 44 and 46-47 also states, “All who believed were together and had all things in common” and “They broke bread from house to house and ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, praising God and enjoying the favor with all the people.”
We apply this principle by using a four-part pattern to our Home Fellowships. They are
(1) the apostles’ teachings - the study of God’s word;
(2) fellowship - getting to know each other in Christ, or in close communication
(3) The breaking of bread - eating meals together (as Jesus did with His disciples and followers); and
(4) prayer - praying with and for one another. The results of this were, glad hearts, sharing common experiences, praising God, and good favor with people.

These fellowships provide a more intimate setting where like-minded believers participate in a time of prayer, study of God's Word, and fellowship. Our Home Fellowships are a central aspect of Calvary Chapel’s ministry and provide a chance for you to form close, personal relationships among a small group of 10 to 15 people. These small groups provide a non-threatening opportunity for biblical discussion and spiritual growth by allowing you to engage in the study of His Word, prayer, and Christian fellowship.
This is why Calvary Chapel places great importance on our Home Fellowships. They will always be an important part of this body of believers.
We encourage every committed member of Calvary Chapel to actively participate in a Home Fellowship.
